  • The town of Paradise, Nevada, allows residents to keep chickens.
  • The Number of chickens: The town does not specify the number of chickens that are allowed, but it is advised to check with the local authorities for more information.
  • Roosters: Roosters are not allowed within town limits.
  • Coop: All chickens must be confined within a suitable outbuilding, coop, or enclosed runway. The coop must be clean and sanitary and provide adequate space for the chickens to roam.
  • Dwelling house: Chickens cannot be kept within any dwelling house, basement, subbasement, or cellar.
  • Sale of chickens: It is unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale, barter or give away chickens under four weeks of age.
  • Conditional land use permit: With a conditional land use permit, residents can keep up to 20 chickens, with a maximum of 3 roosters over 3 months old. If the property is located within Community District 5, 5 roosters per breed over 3 months old are permitted, with a maximum of 20 roosters.
