  • Number of Fowl: A maximum of 20 fowl per acre is allowed, excluding roosters.
  • Enclosure Requirements for up to 20 Chickens:
    • Chickens must be kept in a fenced enclosure, coop, or cage.
    • The enclosure must be situated at least 6 feet away from any property line.
    • The enclosure must be located at least 100 feet away from other residences.
  • Enclosure Requirements for more than 20 Chickens:
    • Chickens exceeding 20 in number must also be kept in a fenced enclosure, coop, or cage.
    • The enclosure must be situated at least 6 feet away from any property line.
    • The enclosure must be located at least 200 feet away from other residences.
  • Sanitary Maintenance:
    • All enclosures and fenced spaces where fowl are kept must be maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
    • The maintenance should effectively mitigate flies and prevent disease.
    • Cages and pens must provide suitable rest, exercise, and flight opportunities for the species while offering protection against predators.

Additional requirements:

  • Regular Deworming: Chickens must undergo regular deworming as per recommended guidelines.
  • Veterinary Inspection: Chickens must be inspected by a veterinarian at least once per year.
  • Proper Disposal of Droppings: Chicken droppings must be disposed of in an appropriate manner to ensure cleanliness and prevent odors.
